Olympiad’s doping suspension has been thrown out after it was considered that the money winner had been proven positively for a forbidden substance after kissing her boyfriend.
French fencer Thibuswho won a silver medal in a team foil at the Summer 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, having a four -year suspension after testing positive for Ostarine, a banned muscle building substance, in January 2024.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) rejected the suspension on Monday, July 7, discovering that “it had scientifically established that Dos Ostarine intake would be similar to the dose ingested by Ms Thibus’ partner at the time having left enough ostarine in the saliva to contaminate a person by kissing.”

Thibus acknowledged those who “believed in me, in my truth, and did not stop supporting me.”
In particular, Thibus thanked members of the French national fencing team for their faith in his story.
“I can never thank you enough,” he wrote. “You made the brave choice to keep me on the team, when everything seemed uncertain a few days before the competition. This gesture is the greatest recognition of my career. You proved to me, in this performance world, that there was a place for humanity too.”
Thibus added, “Life is full of uncertainty, but I will never stop aiming high. Hard work, resilience, and hope has brought me to where I am. I’m convinced that I still have many beautiful pages to write, in sport and beyond! ✨🪐”
