Former National Cricket Team of England Player Jonathan Trott has made a colossal claim to the National Cricket team of India, which beat the great Kohli.
Jonathan Trott said that Virat Kohli lacks the Indian dressing room and could go back to the test team to occupy the place no. 3 or no.
Great victory for India in Edgbaston. No fear and continued to push England to the wall. Bright directed by Shubhman with the bat and in the field and impactful performances of everyone. Special mention in Siraj and Akash for the way they were launched in this pitch. 👏🇮🇳 @Shubmangill…
Your daily dose of cricket!

Kohli has been quite active on social media in recent days, and he seems to closely follow the action in the second test game between India and England in Edgbaston in Birmingham.
On the 4th of the party’s game, Kohli shared a special Instagram story for Shubman Gill “Star Boy” after his historical performance with the bat and on the 5th, took X to congratulate India on his first victory in Birmingham, giving special mention to Gill, Akash Deep and Mohammed Siraj.
Speaking of Kohli’s recent social networks activity, Jonathan Trott said that the legendary mixer is part of the Indian locker room, and that he would like to return and beat at number 3 or number 5.
“Returning to the Kohli shot tweet, it is no surprise that he misses this locker room sensation. Sometimes I wonder how fast this feeling returns after giving up the game. Don’t live in St. John’s Wood or near? Can’t you convince you to return?” Trott said while talking to Sony’s sports network.
“I am sure he would have liked the number 5 or the 3,” said the former cricketter of England when he was told that the number 4 slot is difficult to break after the heroing of Shubman Gill.

India’s largest test captain, whipped Kohli, announced his retirement from the longest format of the game in May to rule out it outside the India tour in England 2025.
On May 12, 2025, Kohli turned to his Official Instagram handle to announce that he moved away from his favorite format on the Cricket.
Kohli finished his career with 123 trial games in which he scored 9230 runs to an average of 46.85. He had a massive impact with his captaincy and made the Indian test team one of the most dominant forces in the world cricket.
In general, he captured 68 trial games, more than any Indian pattern, and won 40 and lost 17 games. His home record was exceptional, as he won the 11 series of testing at home under his India leadership.
Despite all his successes and a lot of cricket in him, Kohli does not plan to return to the test cricket. The legendary Batsman has a young family and wants to spend time with them in London.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the former Batsman of India, Dinesh Karthik, praised Shubman Gill’s side for the 336 victory in Edgbaston.
“This is a good performance. We talk a lot about white ball cricket, but ask any cricketter who has played the longest format, the satisfaction you get when you fight for five days and you get a result that is in favor. There are not many better feelings in this world.”
Dinesh Karthik added that Shubman Gill has played prince in the first two tests and is mentally prepared to move on India. Said:
“India has this name Cricters’ names, and Gill is known as the Prince. And he plays very prince very much. He is very safe from what he wants to do, but what is most important, he has looked mentally. He has baptized most constant and has managed to understand what he wants to bring to the table. For nine days of Cricket Test, India has been the strong team.”
