Before Kelly Monaco will be crowned first ever Dancing with the stars Winner, he was warned that joining the popular reality competition series could damage her career.

“The first season was only six episodes. It was a test run, and I was like, ‘I’m not going to tell anyone I do and hope I will be voted first and no one will ever see it,’” the soap opera star remembered Ew. “After the first episode I was horrified by the comments from the judges, and I got the lowest score, I think, ever in history Dancing with the stars. So, I was like, okay, it’s on. We go in and we do this. ‘Then I took seriouslyAnd I was all in at that point. “

I think people were involved in me in the sense that I went from duck feet to be able to spin,” he said. “I’ve broken ear ears, equilibrium problems, and I even could do it without falling flat on my face in its own journey. I was so proud every week that I made it a week further.”

“Alec was very strict, and I prepared for every obstacle. He would have whoever was around throwing obstacles at us,” added Monaco. “So, I prepared for that, but from my God, it was so scary. I felt someone had a laser ray of five miles away and shot my garment. It counted down to go live, ‘Five, four, three, pop!’ I was like, ‘What am I supposed to do?’ “
He continued, “I know I get at least five counts of a walk over to Alec, walking towards him for our dance. But I remember looking at the judges, looking at whoever likes, ‘Is there a stop button? Okay, there’s nothing. I have to go through.’ So, I’m like, okay, well, I’ll hold my dress up while dancing. ‘ Alec supported me every step of the road.
According to Monaco, the wardrobe mistake was “turning experience (she) with dance and the show.”
“After that, the audience was about me because I was on soap operas for so long, I had only been called this villain and only publicly called by my soap name,” he said. “This gave the audience the opportunity to see the real ones in a circumstance where you can either fall flat or rise above.”
The Monaco-later visited performance to the first season and only the All-Stars season in 2012, finishing third place with partner Val Chermovskiy-set the standard for the competition. 34th season been green this fall, starring Alix Earle, Robert Irwin, Jen Affleck, Whitney Leavitt and more.
