In the center of Texas, a frantic search for survivors is carried out after at least 32 people, including 14 children, were killed after Flash Flaods.
Many slept when the Guadalpepe river grew more than 26 feet (8 m) less than an hour in the first hours.
Officials in the Kerr district said 27 children were missing in a Christian youth camp located along the river. About 850 people were rescued.
Weather forecasts suggest that more rain and maybe more floods can be on the horizon for this area.
Among the areas most severely affected by the flood were mobile houses, summer camps and camping places, where many gathered for festive celebrations on July 4.
At a press conference on Saturday afternoon, Texas Governor Guetas Greg Abbot said he had signed an extended declaration of natural disasters to increase their search efforts.
He said the officials would be tireless in finding “every person who fell victim to this event”, adding that “we will stop when the work is completed.”
According to the officials, this remains a search -rescue mission, not by the restoration efforts.
They said the rescuers were going up and down the Guadalupe River to try to find people who may have been brought from the flood.
Most of the rescue was focused on a large summer camp with a Christian summer camp called Camp Mystic.
The camp, where 27 is missing, is on the shore of the Guadalupe River near Hunt, Texas.
Lieutenant Governor Texas Dan Patrick told BBC Radio 16:00 that of 27 children who were missing from the Mystic camp “Many of these girls are younger girls under the age of 12.”
He also said that many more people would most likely be without the region because some visited for a festive weekend.
In an e -mail, the parents have approximately 750 vacationers, Camp mystic said that if they are not directly contact, their child is considered missing.
Some of the families have already publicly stated that their The children were among those who were found dead.
US President Donald Trump said his administration cooperates closely with the local authorities to respond to an emergency.
Home Security Minister Christie Noah said the president was “devastated” by loss and promised full federal support.
At a press conference on Saturday afternoon, Nom joined the Governor Ebot and said that the federal government would soon deploy the coast guard to help find efforts.
Elsewhere in Central Texas, in the Trevis district, officials say two more people were killed and 10 went missing from the flood.
Forecasters warn that this weekend in Central Texas may be more flooding.
The National Weather Service (NWS) stated that on Saturday in the area could be seen from 2 to 5 inches (5 to 12 cm) rain.
In some areas, which remain up to 10 inches of rain, up to 10 inches were possible.
