Michael MadsenA son shared an emotional tribute after his father’s sudden death.

Luke, 19, shared a picture of himself and Madsen on Friday, July 4, writing through Instagram.

Madsen’s son honored the late actor with a mobile message.

“My hero was wearing a cowboy hat. My hero stood taller and stronger than any man I’ve ever met. My hero was understanding me better than anyone,” Luke continued. “My hero is the most coolest human being I know. Not only my hero was a famous hard guy movie star. My hero was my dad. And it was.

Madsen, who known for roles in Killing a Bill and Reservoir dogs. No unclean drama is suspected in the death of Madsen, according to the Sheriff of Los Angeles. Authorities believe Madsen has died of natural causes.

“In the last two years Michael Madsen has been doing some amazing work with an independent film including upcoming feature films, concessions and cookbook for Southern Housewives, and was really looking forward to this next chapter in his life,” Madsen managers Smash and Susan Ferris and publisher Liz Rodriguez have said Weekly US in a statement on Thursday. “Michael was also preparing to release a new book called Tears for My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems, currently being edited.”

The statement concluded: “Michael Madsen was one of Hollywood’s most iconic actors, which many will miss.”

Michael’s sister, Virginia MadsenShe also broke her silence.

“My brother Michael left the stage. He was Thunder and Velvet. Mireschief wrapped in tenderness. A poet was hidden as a ban,” wrote Virginia, 63, via Instagram on Thursday. “A father, son, brother – engraved in a contradiction, was tempered by a girlfriend who left his mark.”

Virginia praised Michael for the Legacy left behind.

“We do not mourn a public figure. We do not mourn a myth – but flesh and blood and fierce heart,” he noted. “Who attacked through life loudly, great and a half on fire. Who leaves us echoing – Gruff, great, unimaginable – half a legend, half a nursery rhyme.”

Virginia added: “I’ll lose our jokes inside, the sudden laughter, the sound of it. I’ll miss the boy he was before the legend. I lose my big brother. Thanks to everyone who reaches out with love and memory. In time, we will share how we intend to celebrate his life. But for the time being – we stay close, and let the silence say what words can’t say.”
