Both Manchester City and Hilal arrive in Orlando uninvificed, but can only be reached in the quarterfinals when they face the Monday meeting at the Club World Cup.
The city has been devastating, passing through group G with the highest points and ending with the best difference in the tournament goals.
In the meantime, Hilal advanced from Group H after a Gritty group stage, taking second place behind Real Madrid.
This will be the first competitive meeting between the two parties, and it should be a bright game, despite Pep Guardiola’s comments suggest that the competition could “destroy” clubs.
Manchester City has some concerns of fitness ahead of the tie. Claudio Echeverri suffered an ankle injury in training and seems to miss the rest of the tournament.
Rico Lewis remains suspended, serving the final match of a three -game ban, while Mateo Kovacic continues to recover Achilles’ surgery.
The great impulse, however, is the return of Erling Haaland, who scored his 300th race goal in the last game. The Norwegian striker is likely to lead the line, with Phil Foden and Jeremy Doku offering attack support.
Hilal suffered a significant blow to his final group game, as Captain Salem al-Dawsari fell with an injury to an hamstrings that could set him out for six weeks.
In the absence, director Simone Inzghi may opt for a more conservative configuration, possibly starting Mohamed Kanno to strengthen the midfield.
The old city city, Joao Cancelo, is expected to begin against his former club, while former former player’s defender, Kalidou Koulibaly, anchored the bottom line.
Manchester City: Ederson; Nunes, Khusanov, Gvardiol, Ait-àni; Gonzalez, Gundogan; Cherki, Foden, Doku; Haland
To Hilal:Bonus; Cancero, Tambakti, Koubaly, Lodi; Al-Dawsari, Neves, Kanno; Milinkovic-Savic; Malcom, Leonardo
The game will be available to see Dazn, but also on channel 5 for the viewers of the United Kingdom. Will launch at 02:00 on Tuesday morning.
Hilal has shown quality throughout the group phase and will not facilitate things. However, Manchester City fire depth and power is likely to be the difference.
With Erling Haaland in shape and creative threats throughout the midfield, City should have enough to reach the quarterfinals.
Prediction: Manchester City 4-1 at Hilal
