The Cricket International Council has strengthened the screws against the United States Cricket Association for a turbulent condition on the council’s administrative and financial irregularities.
Sources close to the situation have suggested that the CPI has become more and more frustrated with the successive failures of the United States Cricket Council to fulfill the standards, according to a report in India. The non -established financial conditions, the continuous dissatisfaction between the members of the Board and the lack of adequate administration have been important concerns.
The CPI has raised some serious concerns about the Board’s ability to manage sports effectively and, therefore, were put under a formal warning from July 2024, which was after the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, co-colored by the USAC together with the Western Indies Cricket Board.

The ICC is thinking of suspending the governing body of the US Cricket Board
The ICC could be preparing to take decisive actions on the United States Cricket Board, as the 12-month government notification period is approaching at the end of July 2025.
The reports suggest that the international governing body could consider the suspension of the national body if there are no vital alterations in the leadership observed until the next annual conference of the ICC in July.
The CPI had placed a standardization committee to oversee the conditions within the United States Cricket Council. Since the ICC cited the lack of government of the North -American Councils, reports have also revealed that no significant change has been observed since the broadcast of the warning.
ICC delegation for Olympics oversees U.S. cricket dysfunction
USA Cricket was reinstated as an associate member of the ICC in 2019 after its suspension years; However, the recent Cricket Board has also faced similar accusations related to mismanagement or lack of financial transparency.
A CPI delegation recently visited Los Angeles in early June for meetings related to the United States Olympics and the Paralympic Committee. These meetings also included members of the USA Cricket Normalization Committee and also senior members of the USAC governing body.
They have allegedly addressed the ongoing dysfunction and the persistence of internal disputes at the United States Cricket Board. These are not bureaucratic techniques, but the transparency of the governance of the United States Cricket communities on the game.
“The position of the ICC is clear: effective governance is not negotiable, especially ahead of the return of Cricket to the Los Angeles Olympic Games 2028,” said an officer close to the CPI.
The United States Cricket Board hosted the T20 T20 2024 ICC
The United States Cricket Board celebrated its most significant cricket tournament by 2024, when they hosted the ICC T20 World Cup in 2024 in June 2024. The World Cup saw several higher teams such as India, Australia, Australia, England, Pakistan, New Zealand and South -Africa as participating members.
