Jeffrey Blond79, considered “father of functional medicine”. He devoted most of his life to the study of the origin of the disease to focus on health care prevention.
Blond’s main question is to answer what it is: “Can we go to the healthcare form, where we spend more time, experiencing and focusing on how to prevent a person not worried than just treating the sick down?
In 1991 he launched Institute of Functional Medicine With his wife Susan, to create the research he conducted under the two-time Nobel Linus Pouling Winner at the Institute of Science and Medicine Linus Poling in the 1980s. Later he launched Personalized Institute of Lifestyle MedicineOf which he is the founder and president.
Earlier this year, Blond turned 79 and still practiced a lot of what he has learned, useful for the life of a long, healthy life. That’s what he does every day to stay in good health.
Blond begins with its thinking. “I think you need to start every day, believing that you are worthy of good health,” he says.
“For me, the first is to wake up every morning and just say you are grateful to be there, have another day and do the best job you can and be healthy through your activity,” he says. “This sets the context for everything that follows.”
Every day the blond does what is good for his body. “I try to get at least an hour of physical activity,” he says. “It can be walks, it can be some aerobics. My wife (and I) have a home reformer for Pilates.”
Blondes also involves the healthcare magazine. Track your eating habits, the goals you set to improve your overall health and how you spend an hour a day you assign for physical activity. Monitoring daily behavior you can determine which products, exercises, habits in a dream and more tend to make you feel as best you can.
When it comes to his diet, the blond says it focuses on adding more color. Colorful fruits and vegetables like strawberries and cabbage Harvard Health Publishing.
Eating plant foods that have phytonutrients can reduce your chances of developing chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease and cancer, Harvard Blog reports. Flavonoids were also associated with less risk of developing Cognitive decline.
Bland spreads at least an hour every day for “thinking relaxation” at bedtime.
“For me, this is a recreational reading. My work makes me do a lot of technical reading,” he says. When it reads for fun, Bland especially enjoyed the books about nature and adventure.
“I don’t go to bed, thinking about this last letter, or about the last article or what I wrote,” he says.
Blond’s work in functional medicine gives him a sense of a goal that goes beyond himself, he says. He learned that his work, spirituality or charity, which has a goal that has a positive effect on many, and connects it with others to feel fulfilled in life.
It is important to have “something that derives you from the emphasis that you enter this much wider system that will be here after you,” he says.
By contributing to His inheritance, he fueled him daily: “Everything you make will always be there.”
