Cristiano Ronaldo says there is no “finish line” after writing a new agreement with Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
The football icon has doubled in Saudi Arabia by signing a new two -year contract, expanding its stay in the Pro League until June 2027.
The new agreement comes as its previous agreement expired on June 30. The transfer of great profile of Ronaldo of Manchester United in Nassr in 2022 made headlines, not only for the transfer itself, but also for the record salary that was crowned by the most paid athlete in the world, a title he maintained for three consecutive years.
While his personal statistics in Saudi Arabia are impressive, 93 goals in 105 appearances, the team’s success has been more evasive. Since arriving, in the NassR he has only been able to capture the Champions Cup of the Arab Club in 2023. In the league game, they finished second in both 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons and fell to the third mandate.
Despite the club’s frustrations, Ronaldo continues to make history with his national team. Earlier this month, he added another trophy to his international cabinet, marking the final of the League of Nations against Spain.
“I have a lot of titles with clubs, but nothing is better than winning for Portugal,” he said after the final whistle.

When speaking after his new offer, he added: “The ambition I feel that it has no finish line. It is the coherence, commitment and collective work that will improve us. And this is the task that I am here. Let’s start a new chapter!”
Currently, Ronaldo’s career account is currently 932 goals: 794 Club football and 138 for Portugal. With this new contract, it is closer to the 1000 goals brand, a feat that would further cemented its legendary state in world football.
Instead of accepting an offer to participate in the Club World Cup with a different team, Ronaldo chose to focus on preseason preparations with NASSR. His decision is aligned with changes to the club, as they announced the departure of the main coach Stefano Pioli after less than a year in charge.
