The cause of hiking influencer Hannah Moody has been revealed.
Moody died of environmental heat exposure, according to the Medical Auditor’s Maricopa County Office. Her death has been ruled as an accident.
The influencer was Found dead near the head of the gateway From McDowell Sonoran Preserve in Scottsdale, Arizona, on May 22. She was 31.
“Maricopa County Sheriff’s air unit located Hannah’s body around 12:05 pm, about 600 yards off the path,” said the Scottsdale Police Department in a statement. “Scottsdale detectives and crime scene personnel will now be conducting a thorough investigation into what happened to Hannah and how he died. Our investigation will be in collaboration with the medical explorer’s Maricopa County Office, which will eventually determine the cause of death.”
It was reported that Moody was missing after she failed to show a trip with friends.

“We all assume he is related to heat,” said Terri Arizona’s family on May 28. “But that is inconclusive. There were no signs of dirty play.”
He added, “It’s like a mystery for us at the moment. We’re trying to fragment it all together.”

Days before finding her body, Hannah – who had collected nearly 50,000 followers on Instagram before her death – posted a video via Instagram explaining that she had the day shift in her new restaurant post, which meant that she would be forced to start hiking at night.
“I realized that God literally blessed me with the day shift because he knows how much I freaking loves the sunset and I love being able to go for sunset hikes,” Moody said in the May 18 video. “I haven’t really been able to do that and it’s so sweet and so thoughtful.”
Hannah had moved back to Arizona during the months before her death, which chronicled on social media.
“Can’t believe it’s been 6 months since I moved back to AZ 🥹🌵☀️🚙🏠,” Hannah shared through Instagram on April 27.
He said life had been “so good” with “many sunset, nature, friends, good food, individual dates.”
“Above all I’ve been challenged to attend,” added Hannah. “Not rushing through this season. To be here, now. Absorb the moments, the days, the experiences, and learn as much as possible of it all – but also to enjoy too. Life can be fun. Easy. Easy. Full. Full. It doesn’t have to be so serious always 🙃.”
