Anna Wintour stepped down from his site as an editor primarily in Fashionable.
Wintour, 75, announced at a staff meeting of which he will step down from Fashionable and see the Head of New Editorial Content on Thursday, June 25, the same Wwd.
Back Daily Mail, Wintour will remain as Chief World Content Officer Condé Condé Nast a Vogue ‘s World Editor.
Wintour served as FashionableEditor mainly for 37 years, starting his meat in 1988. He evolved the magazine’s focus to extend beyond fashion only, combining in pop culture, art, technology and more.
In 2012, she reflected on her first ever cover, the Israeli model Michaela Bercu posed for.
“It looked easy, occasionally, a moment that had been snapped on the street, it had been, and was the whole point,” wrote Wintour in the leisure street style cover magazine.
Wintour shared that the picture broke the internet was amazing and people began to share their interpretations – that Haute Couture Cristian Lacroix Cross Sweater Bercu is a religious statement, that it was a “high and low mixing” fashion and more. “But none of these things were true. I had just looked at that picture and sensed the winds of the change. And you can’t ask for more cover image than that,” wrote Wintour, proving how eager her eye was for fashion.
During her time as an editor, Wintour consisted of many stars on cover Fashionable. Her first famous cover was Mad in 1989, and later exhibited Rihanna. Kim Kardashian. Britney Spears. Lady gaga and more.
She also has a A significant role in the annual Met GalaShe reds her alongside Hollywood favorites. Wintour organizes the event, helps determine the theme and costume code, fulfills the guest list and supervise the evening.
Throughout the years, Wintour has been honest about her love of the gala, most recently discussing how moving the 2025 “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” was.
“All are very different, but this one has been particularly moving and important,” she by ABC On while making his way up the famous Met’s steps. “Currently in our political history the Museum gives so much attention on black style. These designers looked at in the exhibition, for me to be about joy, and confidence, and creativity and confidence.”
Wintour has not yet made a public statement on her departure.
