President Donald Trump shared a tender exchange with a Ukrainian journalist who told him during a press conference after Peak that her husband fought in the war in her country.
The reporter, who said she was working at the BBC, shared that her husband was a soldier in Ukraine and that he currently lives with his children in Warsaw, Poland, more than three years after the Russian invasion.
Calling journalists in The Hague, the Netherlands, Trump gave the woman a question, noting that she was “excited”.
“Where are you from?” Trump asked.

Trump said the crisis of Ukraine “also emphasized the urgency of the restoration of our defense of the industrial base both in the US and among the union countries.” He said the US could not depend on foreign opponents for critical minerals.
