Brazilian tourist who fell from the Indonesian volcano found dead

The Brazilian tourist, who fell during a hike near the Crater of Active Volcano in Indonesia, was found dead, her family and rescuers said.

Julian Marins survived the original drop off the cliff during the morning hike along a steep trail on Mount Rinjani, and rescuers reported that on Saturday, her screams were listened to.

But efforts to reach the age of 26 were hindered by extreme terrain and foggy weather in the following days, the Indonesian authorities have reports.

After a complex rescue operation, the team finally reached her body on Tuesday, her family said in a social media statement.

“With great sadness, we inform you that she has not survived,” Marins said. “We remain very grateful for all the prayers, the messages and support we received.”

She was on a hike in the second most pressing volcano with five friends and leadership on Saturday at about 6:30 local time (23:30 GMT on Friday), when the authorities said it had fallen out of a “cliff that was attacking the trail next to Krater Volcano.”

One of the members of the group told Brazilian television that the terrain was slippery, the rise is “very cruel” and the visibility of the poor.

By the morning of Sunday, drone shots showed that it was no longer in one place, the park’s authorities said, which added that thick fog prevented the salvation and affected the use of thermal drone.

On Monday, rescuers were able to find Marins again, which seemed to fall even further, but they had to stop the work from the “climatic conditions”, the family reports.

The search resumed on Tuesday, and rescuers finally reached her body after descending 600 m by ravine, according to a statement by search and rescue agencies.

However, bad weather meant that they still needed to find her body. Efforts should recover early on Wednesday morning.

A total of 50 people participated in the rescue operation, in a statement by the head of the search and rescue Mohammad Siafa.
