Konstas scored 60 of only 52 balls in his test debut. Later, the ICC penalized Kohli with a fine of 20% in his party share and a dementious point for breaching the code of conduct. Although Konstas did not react to the incident at that time, he responded in the best possible way.
Sam Konstas struggled to keep the shape for the rest of the India series and was out of Sri Lanka’s tour. He was also excluded from Game XI in the WTC final against South -Africa, where Australia chose to open with Marnus Labuschagne and Usman Khawaja.
The couple did not provide solid beginnings and the team suffered the defeat. With Labuschagne he fell from the XI performance, Konstas will open next to Khawaja in the next series of testing against the West Indies.
Australia, led by Pat Cummins, will begin its 2025-27 World Testing Championship campaign with a series of three -party tests in the Caribbean. The first test will begin on Wednesday, June 25 in Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados.
