A Supreme On Monday, the Trump administration allowed to resume rapid deportation of some immigrants to other countries except their own, without pre -warning, and the opportunity to challenge them on the grounds that they could be tortured or killed.
Court raised conflict Published in April by a judge of the Federal District Court in Massachusetts, which blocked the practice that was introduced after Executive order Signed by the President Donald Trump In January.
The Supreme Court ruling on Monday will remain in force as an appeal in the Trump administration case.
Three liberal judges of the Supreme Court were disagreed with the order.
“In matters of life and death, it is best with caution,” said one of these judges, Sonia Sotomier.
“In this case, the government accepted the opposite approach,” Sotomer wrote.
“This incorrectly deported one plaintiff to Guatemala, although the immigration judge found that he would probably face torture,” she wrote. “Then, in the obvious violation of the court ruling, he deported six more to South Sudan, a nation that the State Department considers too dangerous to everyone except for its critical staff.”
“The timely intervention of the district court only narrowly prevented the third set of illegal removal to Libya,” the Sotamoior wrote.
“Instead of allowing our lower court colleagues to manage this high share with the caution and attention he clearly demands, this court is now interfered with to give government an emergency from the order he has not repeatedly succumbed,” she wrote.
“I cannot join such a rough abuse of a fair opinion of the court.”
