It envisages participation in dozens of police officers and helicopters for an unknown number of suspects who have escaped.

French media reports that violence may be associated with a drug addict.

Authorities have opened an investigation into the murder and attempted murder.

At about 4:30 (02:30 GMT) on Sunday, the 27 -year -old bride and 25 -year -old bridegroom left a wedding party in the village hall when unspecified attackers opened fire, AFP reports.

The initial messages suggested that one of the attackers was driving a couple’s car, but Avignon’s prosecutor Florence called that he was hit by “in the exchange”.

The prosecutor stated that the survivors who arrived by the car escaped on foot after firing.

Police notes that there were 28 people in the hall. One woman is also slightly injured in the incident.

The hall was booked in March “for the wedding of people who do not live in the commune,” said the local mayor Didier Perella.

“I’m outraged,” he added. “We are near the cities, I will not call them where, unfortunately, we saw similar things before.”

The owner of the 50-year-old restaurant Guillaume Molinas said he was afraid that the death attack would give the village about 1000 residents of the “bad name”.
