The extremely close young adult play is based on the novel by Sally Rooney and following two teenagers who are emotionally damaged through their final year in high school and to become adults. Connell (Paul Mescal) is popular while Marianne (Daisy Edgar-Jones) is a loner. On the surface, they have nothing in common, but when Connell’s mother (Sarah Greene) becomes a housekeeper for the Marianne family, both form a connection that lies somewhere between romance and friendship.

Mental health, money and social circumstances often come between them, but they all help the other grow during the difficult times of life.
