How Humberly Gonzalez’s Waterfront Role Continues

Humberly González opened about how his more adult role is on The banks felt like a continuation of her teenage character from Ginny & georgia.

“It changes energy for me that I really enjoy it because I’ve been playing high school technically for the last five years of my life. It’s a lovely graduation. I ordered the shores while I was filming my last week of Ginny & Georgia in season 3,” said González, 33, in particular Weekly US relating to Kevin WilliamsonA new show, which performed for the first time on Thursday, June 19. “It was literally four days before I flew out to North Carolina and it was changing so short.”

González herself connected his role as Jenna’s The banks to their character, Sophie Sanchez, in Ginny & georgia.

“There’s a line in Ginny and Georgia where Sophie is like, ‘After this year is done I’m going to Nyu. I’m going to go to be a professional.’ In a way, Sophie is now an adult and has a real -life job and now she just happens to be in North Carolina and is a journalist, ”she noted. “With (both) characters, it is almost a continuation of myself and of them.”

Before ordering Jenna on The banksGonzález won fans over on the popular Netflix series as Max’s (Sara Waisglass) Sophie love off and on. Despite their breakdown, Max and Sophie continued to cross trails and season 3, which started streaming earlier this month, was no different.

González, however, was excited to take something new As Sophie prepares to go to college.

“It definitely felt like the right timing because I didn’t know what was happening after Ginny and Georgia. Basically I was going to be -work after that ended,” he told Us. “So it was a lovely opportunity to come and use the whole experience I’ve had so far and pour into someone my age and it was very cool. I feel like it had challenged my skill set a lot and I could show even more of what I’m capable of.”

Ginny & georgiawho first performed in 2021, following a young single mother moving her family to Wellsbury, Massachusetts, after running away from her past. Meanwhile, the shores are a much grittier insight into the Buckley family – including Son Cane (Jake Weary) – who has managed the town of North Carolina in Havenport for decades. Ultimately, their quest to control their fishing empire leads them to more dangerous activities.

González is presented as Cane’s High School Love) that comes back to his life. The only problem? He is already married to Peyton’s wife (Danielle Campbell).

“It’s such a sensitive subject when you talk about a relationship and someone comes in and disturbs a family – not only to a cane but for Jenna as well. She has a established life as well, her father’s illness and her boyfriend. Every character truly strives through something but Jenna is a curve ball,” he said. “You think the show will be about this family and suddenly you get this kind of wrench thrown in there that adds more layers to Cane’s life too. It’s all so chaotic and hard and intense.”

González reflected on what her character brings him to the show, adding, “She offers him this other side. This vulnerability, and this softness. Jenna’s role in all of this is to offer lightness at the show but also just add another complex layer to his hurricane life already.

In spite of how The banks “The challenges of morality,” González Still standing at Jenna and her decisions.

“I don’t think Jenna is a bad person. She finds herself in a very difficult position. She is alone, she mourns and she hurts. A cane offers some sort of comfort from a version of her where things used to be simple. Us. “It’s still real because time doesn’t really play a real role in terms of emotions and the people who have been in your life. I really think you don’t really come over people. You learn to live without them. I think this is one of those stories.”
