Tim Bradley says Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis’ new look is a sign he “doesn’t care” what people think of him. Bradley says as Tank watches “real spicy”which he sees as positive because he feels he knows who he is now.
A leaked image of WBA lightweight champion Tank (30-0, 28 KOs) showed him lying in a bean bag chair with his long hair pulled back, perhaps with pomade, and looking like he was wearing eye makeup. It’s not clear if it was eyeshadow or mascara.
“Zesty” and no frills
He figures that’s bad for Gervonta’s next opponent, Lamont Roach, because he’ll be doing it to him when they fight on March 1st at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Tim doesn’t say how Tank’s new nonchalant attitude about his physical appearance relates to Roach coming out because it’s not like he bad mouthed her. If anything, he seems grateful for the payday.
The power of wealth
Tank is rich, and like many rich people, they don’t care what people think of them. They no longer live in the real world because of their wealth. When you have the kind of mega-wealth that Tank Davis possesses, you’re free from the need to worry about the judgment of others.

“‘We’re on a new level. I’m on a new level.’ Yes, my friend (Tank) is on a new level because he knows who you are. Most people don’t know who the hell they are. They don’t really know who they are .
“It takes a while to figure it out. We’re constantly evolving as humans. We’re constantly evolving, but now he knows. Tank knows now. That’s why he doesn’t care. To have that power and not care. Tank has this superpower,” Bradley said of Gervonta’s new look.

Since then there have been no photos of Tank’s new hairstyle and glasses. It’s hard to tell if the new look is a sign of Davis’ evolution or just a mood that day. If we see him always looking the same, we can conclude that he is “evolving,” as Bradley says.
“He just doesn’t care. Tank will be Tank. Tank will do what Tank will do,” Bradley said. “Whether it looks spicy or nothe knows who he is There is a superpower in that. Guess who it’s going to be? He will do it to Lamont Roach.
“I feel bad for Roach. He’s a good fighter, but I’m telling you. This tank right here is different. He’s a different guy. Y’all seen the weight too? The guy (Gervonta) can fight tomorrow. The guy can fight today. The boy can fight whenever he wants.
“It’s been a few weeks. It’s been a few months since the fight. I’m telling you, you’re locked in,” Bradley said.
I don’t see how Tank will treat Roach any differently now than he did when the fight was signed. Bradley is really coming through with his views. Wrestling is a mismatch and always was.
Tank weight is real. He appears to be near the 135-pound limit now, meaning he can easily drop down to 130 or 126 to take on the best in those divisions. Naoya Inoue is the fighter fans want to see fight Tank, and this match can happen.
