The Bayern Munich opened its Club Cup campaign against Auckland City in Cincinnati this afternoon.
The Bundesliga Champions of Vincent Kompany are among the favorites to win the tournament in the United States and have been given a relatively easy start against the New Zealand timers.
Auckland are the headlines of the Ocean Champions League and have been placed in a tough group that will also see them to assume the Benfica and the Argentine Boca Juniors giants.

Jonathan Tah debuts in a surprisingly strong line of the Bayern.
It was expected that Kompany would rest to many of his great players who participated in the World Cup classifiers last week.
But they all begin as Joshua Kimmich, Harry Kane and Michael Olise, as Thomas Muller does in his last competition for Bayern.
Tah was captured by Bayer Leverkusen at the end of last month with his contract due to expiration.
