Nmecha started in Manchester City, where he enjoyed loans in Preston, Middlesbrough, and Anderlecht, before joining Wolfsburg in 2021.

He made 73 appearances at the Bundesliga Club in League and Cup, scoring 19 goals.

Joining -s to Leeds is a “great challenge”, says Nmecha

Nmecha, who has also won seven heads for Germany, told LUTV: “It’s just a great challenge and I’m really excited to get to know the team.

“I have talked to the manager many times and I am excited to play this football style that they played in the championship, even in the Premier League.

“I saw that there was dominance last season in terms of possession and goals. I am an attacking player, so it is obviously exciting for me.

“Of course, in the Premier League, there are some older boys where they cannot be played like this all the time, but I think the idea of โ€‹โ€‹the manager is to play football, possession football, and this is what I am used to and what I love to do.

“Hopefully we could leave now, but we still have a few weeks before the season, getting the runs and all this! But I can’t wait to start training now.”
