Retired Olympic Gymnast Mykayla Skinner addressed her former team Simone Biles‘Continued tension with rIley Gain In the midst of their public back and forth for the inclusion of transgender athletes in sport.
“As an athlete who has devoted years to sport, I have always believed that the true competition should be our promotion-not reducing others,” Skinner, 28, said in a Friday, June 13 statement, to the far righteous right-right media outlet One American news. “That’s why it is very upset to see @simone_biles labeled a fellow fellow -a -female ‘sore loser’ – just for expressing legitimate concerns about fairness in women’s sport.”
He added, “I praise and appreciate @riley_gains_ for being brave enough to speak out. Women like her not only stand for fairness, but for the future of female athletics herself. She deserves support – not ridicule.”
Biles, 28, condemned the conservative political activist and Outkicker Gaines commentator, 25, earlier this month for making transphobic comments. Gaines, a former competitive swimmer, re -posted Post X from the Minnesota Provincial High School League for their victory of a softball tournament.

“Comments off Lol. To be expected when your star player is a boy,” wrote Gaines on June 6, referring to a transverse female athlete.
Biles fired back, calling out Gaines for is intentionally allegedly stated the athlete.
“@Riley_Gains_ You’re really sick, all this campaigning because you lost a race. A straight sore loser,” wrote Biles later that day. “You should be promoting the trans community and maybe find a way to make sports inclusive or create a new path where Traws (People) feels safe in sport. Perhaps a transgender category in every sport !!”
He added, “But instead of … you bully them … one thing is definitely no one in sports safe with you around !!!!!”
Gaines, in response, said she found the comments of the gold medal winner “disappointed.”
“It is not my job or the job of any woman to find out how to include men in our places,” replied Gaines. “You can pick up men stealing women’s sports championships with your platform. Men do not belong to women’s sport, and I will say that with my full chest.”

Biles, a long -standing ally of the LGBTQIA+community, later issuing an apology to Gaines for getting “personal.”

Meanwhile, Skinner believes Biles used her social media platform to “bully and demean” for having an alternative perspective.
“It’s one thing to disagree. It’s another thing to use your platform to bully and behave,” added Skinner in her statement. “No one should be punished for standing up for fairness and biological reality. We should be picking up each other – not to tear each other down for talking hard truths.”

“Throughout my own career, I suffered my humiliation, dismissed and lowered behind the scenes by Simone,” claimed Skinner. “The pressure to stay quiet was tremendous. I kept quietly out of respect – to the sport, my fellow players, and for the ideal of unity among athletes.
Biles has not publicly addressed Skinner accusations. Weekly US have reached out for comments.
