Frank confirmed as the new Tottenham manager in a three -year agreement

Thomas Frank has been appointed new manager of Tottenham in an agreement that runs until 2028, confirmed the club.

Spurs announced the news on Thursday in the midst of the growing speculation that Frank would succeed in Ange Postecoglou, which was looted last month earlier this month, despite ending the 17 -year wait of Spurs for a major trophy by delivering the Europa League.

Frank joins after seven years in Brentford, where he built an impressive reputation as one of the best first -round coaches after guiding the bees in promoting the championship in 2021.

The 51 -year -old Dane will take over Spurs after the club suffered the second worst record in the club’s history.

They finished in 17th place, only one place above the relegation area after losing 22 of their 38 games. The league campaign was completed seven places and 18 points below Brentford.

However, Frank, who is now the fourth permanent manager of Tottenham in four years, will oversee the return of Spurs to the champion league of the next term: the prize to claim the Europa League.

“In Thomas we are designating one of the most progressive and innovative coaches in the game,” he read a statement by Spurs.

“It has a record shown in the development of players and teams and we hope to lead the team as we prepare for the season ahead.”

Brentford, meanwhile, greeted Frank for “the incredible impact he has had on the history of the club.”

Phil Giles, Bee Football Director, said: “From the moment he replaced Dean Smith, he understood what we were trying to build and his wisdom, training capacity and emotional intelligence have helped transform the club.

“But it is not just what you see on the pitch. He forged a special connection with our fans, helped to develop and improve players, and it was essential to implement the culture that has seen Brentford passed by force.

“We will never forget Thomas, but now it is time to thank -and take the following steps in our journey with a new leader that we think can have the same and influential success.”
