President Donald Trump Thursday signs three Congress resolutions that focuses on nationwide effort in California to take Electric vehicles And stop diesel engines and sale of cars operating on gases by 2035.
California’s plan was adopted by 11 other states.
“It was a catastrophe for this country,” Trump said in the White House.
“We officially save the American car industry from destruction, stopping the mandate in electric cars in California,” Trump said.
General Motors and Toyota lobbied California’s rules.
The US Environment Agency during the Biden administration provided California in December, which allowed the mandate to make most of the road sales in the state.
California Governor Gavin Newsom exploded resolutions in May, canceling the plan.
“Big pollutants and the right propaganda machine succeeded in the Republican Party,” said Newsom.
