ABC has expired Terry MoranEmployment after the journalist was publicly criticized President Donald Trump.
“We are at the end of our deal with Terry Moran and based on his recent post – which was a clear contrary to ABC news policies, we have decided not to renew,” a network spokesman said in a statement on Tuesday, June 10. “At ABC News, we hold all our correspondents to achieve the highest standards.”
The reporter, 65, was previously suspended for sharing a social media post about the President’s Homeland Safety Advisor and the Deputy Head of Policy Staff Stephen Miller.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavit respond to the criticism, Writing through x Earlier this month, “This is unacceptable and unacceptable. We have reached out to @ABC to ask how they plan to hold Terry accountable.”
In response, ABC News confirmed that Moran was “suspended until further evaluation.” The network noted that he “stands for objectivity and impartiality in his news attention and does not condone subjective personal attacks on others. The post does not reflect the opinion of ABC news and has broken our standards.”
Moran and Trump previously faced When the reporter interviewed the President in the Oval office following Trump’s first 100 days in his second term. The sitting down, which was broadcast last month, became awkward as the duo discussed the economy, immigration, foreign policy and more.
“I chose you (for this interview) because, frankly, I never heard of you, but that’s fine,” Trump told Moran. “But I chose you, Terry, but you’re not really nice.”
