The UK sanctioned two right -wing Israeli ministers on the comments they expressed on the gas.
Itamar Ben-Gvir and Leafle Smatrich will be banned from entering the UK and will have any assets in the UK, frozen as part of the measures announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
David Lami said that Finance Minister Smotrich and National Security Minister Ben-Gvir “fired extremist violence and serious abuse of Palestinian human rights.”
In response, Israel said: “It is outrageous that the selected representatives and members of the government are subjected to similar measures.”
Both the overwhelm and Ben-Gvir were criticized for their position in the gas war.
Smatrich campaigned against the permission to help in Gaza, while Ben-Gvir called for the relocation of gases from the territory.
After the announcement of the sanctions, Lami said: “These actions are unacceptable. That is why we have taken measures now – to bring responsible for accounting.
“We will seek to reach the immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the immediate release of other Hamas hostages, which cannot have a future role in gas management, aid and a way to a two -state decision.”
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said the office would meet next week to respond to what he called “an unacceptable decision”.
The Foreign Bureau added that “together with the partners of Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Norway, the UK realized that the growth of violence and intimidation of Israeli settlers against Palestinian communities on the West Bank should stop.”
The statement states that the measures taken against the Smatrich and Ben-Gvira “cannot be considered in the isolation from the events in Gaza, where Israel should support the international humanitarian law.”
Both ministers belong to the right-wing parties that help support Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition government.
As part of the coalition, the Ehudit Ben-Gvira (Jewish energy) party ranks six seats, while the Smatrich’s religious Zionism occupies seven seats.
Smatrich, speaking at the inauguration of the new settlement on Hibran hills, told about “contempt” before the relocation of the UK.
He said, “Britain has already tried to prevent us from resoling our homeland, and we cannot do it again. We are determination, God is ready to continue to build.”
The possibility of authorization of these two ministers has long been in the pipeline.
Last October Lord Cameron said he planned to do this when it was a foreign minister as a way to put pressure on Israel.
The government’s decision reflects the growing popular and parliamentary pressure to take further measures against the Israeli government for its activities in gas and on the western shore.
It also happens after a sustainable escalation of pressure from the UK and other allies.
Last month, the leaders of Britain, France and Canada made a joint statement saying that Israel risks violating international law.
The UK also violated trade negotiations with Israel.
In the community last month, Lami described the statements of the Palestinian “Palestinian” as “horrific” and “dangerous” extremism.
Responding to the sanctions, the Minister of Internal Affairs, the shadow of the lady Podel, said: “We clearly understood that the British government should use its impact at each opportunity to provide the release of the rest of the hostages that the help continues to reach those who need it, and the stable cessation of the conflict is achieved.”
Liberal leader Sir Ed Davi also welcomed the sanctions, but stated that he was “disappointing” that the government and work “took so much time”.
20 months have passed since Israel launched a military campaign in Gaza in response to an unprecedented cross -border attack led by Hamas on October 7, 2023, killing about 1,200 people and took 251 people.
At least 54,927 people have been killed in Gaza since then, according to the Ministry of Health in the field of health in the territory.
