Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has revealed that the State Government is seriously considering moving the famous M chinnaswamy stadium from Bengaluru to a new location after a tragic stampede during the Royal Challengers Victory 2025 celebrations (RCB), which had 11 lives.
The Prime Minister was saddened by the tragedy, saying that the incident has deeply affected him and that the Government seeks long -term solutions to prevent these disasters in the future. One of the main steps that are planned is to change the stage to a safer and more spacious area.

Siddaramaiah said that NDTV said: “The government will try to change the cricket stadium to another location. Such an unpleasant incident should not happen under any government. Personally, this incident has hurt me and government.”

He also said that strict actions were performed on the deadly stampede in Bengaluru, as he confirmed the suspension of five police officers and the highest officials, including the Chief of Intelligence. The CM also said that the matter was taken seriously.
The Prime Minister of Karnataka also said, “five police officers have been suspended in this case. The intelligence chief and the political secretary of the Prime Minister have been replaced. The case has been taken seriously and adequate actions have been taken.”
However, he emphasized that the Karnataka government did not act irresponsibly in the tragic incident of Stampede outside the M. Chinnaswamy stadium. However, he admitted that the incident was degreing, but mentioned that there was no reason for them to feel ashamed.

Siddaramaiah explained: “The government has done nothing bad. This incident is sad, but no mistake has been made by the administration. The administration has been taken against those who are guilty, so there is no shame for the government.”
The Prime Minister returned to the political criticism of the BJP and JDS, who demand the responsibility of the Stampede of Bengaluru. He hit his double standards asking why no one asked for the resignation of Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath after death during the Kumbh Mela.
Siddaramaiah signed saying, “The Prime Minister of Uttar Pradesh resigned when people died during the Kumbh Mela? The BJP and the JD demanded their resignation?”

In the meantime, after the tragic incident, several social media publications began to spread rumors about the consequences of the franchise. An account even said that RCB could be banned next season IPL. This claim was widely shared by Xe @IPL2025AUCTION.

Another rumor around is that the Official Instagram page IPL has left Royal Challengers Bengaluru aside. This added to the talk that the team could be banned in the IPL. The X @worshipdhoni account shared this claim along with a screenshot showing IPL’s Instagram list. However, all these rumors are false.
