Adams comes to hat-trick in a kind victory

Scotland striker Che Adams scored a hat-trick when Steve Clarke’s side returned to the defeat in Iceland to win Liechtenstein.

Former Southampton, who was now playing in Torino in Italy, had once marked in his last 19 caps before the trip to Vaduz.

But it was shown strongly after only four minutes to fix the nerves after the side of the house could not erase a corner.

Adams doubled the lead when he entered from 15 meters after the good work of the 18 -year -old midfielder, Lennon Miller.

The Adams striker at the goal at the beginning of the second half was touched by the Ipswich George Hirst striker for his first international goal.

And Adams completed his triple at the last minute when he headed for a Tommy Conway cross.

Adams told the BBC Scotland: “I am happy to get on the scoring sheet and help the team.

“It is good to score for Scotland, it has not happened much since I have been here.

“We knew it would be difficult, the conditions were not fantastic, but we were very professional and our mindset was ready.

“It was important to sign this year with victory. We are happy to put things from the game of Iceland.”
