Mark Duplass reflects on balancing work with depression and anxiety

The Morning Show star Mark Duplass Opens for his mental health and how he manages to work in navigating depression and anxiety.

“It’s a very complex system of making sure you get enough sleep, making sure you get exercise every day, making sure I’m very careful about the medication I take, never to lose,” said Duplass, 48, Pages six In an interview published on Sunday, June 8.

The actor went on to explain that he had been using the same medicine for nearly two decades to treat his mental health conditions, adding that prescription medicine is “a fundamental, very essential part of my system.”

“I feel like I’m still displaying and working and it’s tired sometimes, but what choice do I have?” He added.

Duplass has made him something of his mission to be open and honestly unnecessarily about his mental health through social media.

On Saturday, June 7, Duplass gave fans an update on his mental health by InstagramWriting that he has been “feeling stronger lately.”

“A little lighter, more inspirational, more energy,” he wrote by post caption, along with a smiling selfie. “Better in social situations and with my work capacity. Generally, just ‘happier.’ For those of you who deal with depression, it’s like most moments when the mood fog rises and you think ‘Oh, okay’ here’s what that is like.

He added, “Because I forget. It’s amazing how the daily battle Herculean can keep yourself falling (exercise, diet, medicine, therapy, meditation, journalism, etc.) becoming so normal. All just to keep yourself from drowning in the dark. It can be tired and you don’t even realize how hard you work just to stay vertical.” ”” ”

Many of Hollywood’s biggest stars have been honest about their sobriety journeys over the years.
