Kylian Mbappe admits that he was happy for Paris Saint-Germain after the champion league triumph, despite leaving the club a year earlier in tense circumstances.
The French striker, who joined Real Madrid in a free transfer last summer, said he did not feel any bitterness seeing his old side finally raising the most prestigious club trophy in Europe.
“I was happy, they deserved it, they have gone through so many problems, I also had it. I have gone through all stages of the Champions League, except to win,” MBAPPE told journalists on Saturday.
“They were the best team in Europe. I don’t remember ever seen them 5-0. It’s 100% deserved, they become the team that everyone wants to fight.”
The long -awaited PSG triumph arrived four years after losing the final of 2020 in Bayern Munich, and was a breakthrough for a club that had been repeatedly short despite significant investment.
MBAPPE left PSG as the highest scorer of all time, but then took legal action against the club, looking for 55 million euros in unpaid salaries. Despite this dispute, the 26 -year -old has no will to his former teammates.

“PSG won the Champions League without me, this does not affect me. This is good. I think we all face challenges in our career,” he added.
“I am a little more in the eye of the storm, which is good. I always liked to be in these positions, it is up to work. I have invested some trends in my career, I had a lot of things stuck on my back and I managed to get them out.
“I left too early? No, my story was over, it had to end. There was no bitterness, it had come to the end of my bond.”
MBAPPE scored 43 goals in all competitions during the debut season at Real Madrid, but the Spanish giants finished the campaign without crockery.
They finished second in Barcelona in both LaLiga and the Rey Cup and were eliminated by Arsenal in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
When asked who believes that the Golden Ballon deserves, Mbappe launched his support behind Ousmane Dembele, his former PSG teammate, about the growing star of Barcelona, Lamine Yamal.
