This article contains spoiler For “Ballerina” and John Wick’s franchise.
The Chief Hotshot “Ballerina,” Eve (Ana de Armas), may be able to stand her ground against a cult and her leader (Gabriel Byrne), but it is clear after her time rebellion with a man sent to kill them that he cannot get the best of John Wick (Keanu Reeves). At least, not at this point, anyway. As revealed in the derived session Len Wiseman set in the “John Wick” franchise, the “Ballerina” story takes place between the third and the fourth film, well before the match at the end of “John Wick: Chapter 4.” That’s a long time for Eve to go alone and become more murderer than she is already, perhaps in time when the Baba Yaga comes back from the dead for a fifth film.
Confirmed in this year’s con cinema, “John Wick 5” tries it. At this point, the plot details are at least standard, given that the films have hardly any (no crime, John). However, given how Eve’s departure was identified in his own film, the Ballerina may have a perfect shot when joining Mr. Wick (real name: Jardani Jovonovich) when he returns, and may be glad she is doing so.
At the end of “Ballerina”, Eve was completely removed from the Ruska Roma after disobeying the director’s orders (Anjelica Huston) and pursuing her father’s killers. Much like how things ended John in “John Wick: Chapter 2,” the Gunslinger was alone with Bounty on her head. In such a difficult situation, it makes sense for Eve to try to get all the help he can get, who could include a dead man we think may be back.
Whatever a bullet -sharing story John could find himself next, it would be the perfect opportunity to bring Eve back into action and reunite with the man who allowed her to complete her mission. When “John Wick 5” arises, which could be years after “Chapter 4 events,” Eve might have learned a handful more tricks and became more fatal than it was already. It would not only create a logical cross for an old ally to help John, but would suit the trend for the last two films.
From “Parabellum” forward, “John Wick” franchise has made an effort to bring big names to the fold, starting with Halle Berry as Sofia and then later with Donnie Yen as Caine, whose characters formed an uneasy alliance with John in their respective movies. Failing with that, of course, there could be another route for Eve to take that could find their crossing routes with the blind man above, which is far more fatal than it seems.
As it is, “Ballerina” is the first project to be fired The batch of liongate derivatives has in the chamber that they intend to help flesh out for Mr. Wick. An animated prequel, which details John’s “impossible task” who won his freedom before the events of the first film, is being developed, but there is also Independent film set to focus around the character of Donnie Yen, Cainethat the legendary martial arts star itself is directed.
Just like Eve and John, Caine’s story is most likely to be fired by revenge, that it will be unfortunate on the receiving head after killing Akira’s father (Rina Sawayama). In that case, it would be a brave and interesting choice to see if Eve, the reduced Kikimora, stops whatever bullets may be going to Caine road, or whether she is asking the blind man with the edge of whether he has recently been in contact with the Baba Yaga. If they play this properly, Lionghate could build their growing jaws with some characters that can either align with John Wick or go against things as things develop. What is absolutely certain, though, is that we are going to need more guns (lots of guns), and perhaps a filler.
