Jason Tartick And his dog is back together.
The Bachelorette Alum, 36, shared the good news On Instagram On Friday, June 6. Tartick had sent Teddy to a dog training program, something the reality star said necessary for “his pet’s happiness and safety.
“Adultery at last !! Teddy is back and doing so well!” Tartick’s headline, which included a series of pictures of himself embracing Teddy. “Given his past, with abuse and negligence, tackling his reactivity was so important to his happiness and safety.”
He continued, “After training, his peace of mind with other people, dogs and even moving objects like cars and bikes is truly a dream. This guy has 16 different breeds in his DNA; from Pyrenees Great and the German shepherd to Shepherd and Chow Anatolian Shepherd and Cow, which was so important to understand through his training process.”
“I have been consecrated and invested in his training from day 1 of adoption, and will go ahead from now on. Needless to say, I have so much comfort and confidence in saying that Teddy has been officially saved in many more ways than one…. And CC of it, so too,” Tartick ended.
Tartick adopted the dog in March after a Pet custody dispute with his ex, Kaitlyn Bristowe. “Not sure who saved who, but we got each other,” wrote through social media on March 5. “Thanks @wagsandwalksnashville.”
Tartick also asked his followers to help him name the dog. “My new best friend needs a name! I have a few favorites for him, but before I decide I would love to hear your ideas,” he wrote through Instagram the same day. “Ironically, the day I chose to volunteer was in the rescue the same day as they raised it from the local shelter. The connection was immediately.”
Previously, Tartick and Bristowe shared two dogs, Ramen and Pinot, and initially planned to share the custody of the dogs after cutting. That plan changed in September 2024.
“If you listen to this podcast or follow me at all, you know how important Ramen and pinot are to me. They are legal in the light of my life,” said Bristowe, 39, on her “off the vine” podcast at the time. “He killed me to leave them (whenever I travel). They have the biggest dog sitter … (who) comes to my house, so they don’t have to leave.”
He added, “What I realized when sharing custody with the dogs is that they are very scared and very uncomfortable and very anxious without knowing where they are going and when they come back. This is not personal to anyone (and) it happens when they are in one house and when they are in my house.”
