US veto UN Security Council gas resolution ceasefire

The United States vetoed the UN Security Council project, which called for “unconditional and permanent” ceasefire in Gaza.

The remaining 14 members voted for a document, which also demanded to release all hostages and lift humanitarian restrictions.

US Ambassador to the UN, Dorothy, said the resolution “undermines diplomatic efforts” to reach the ceasefire, adding that the UN does not call Hamas a terrorist organization. Hamas is described as a US, UK and EU.

“We would not support any measure that does not condemn Hamas or calls Hamas to disarm and leave gas,” she said.
