Emanuel Navarrete vs. Charly Suarez Non-CONTEST: CSAC annules the controversial WBO title decision

The Athletic Commission of the California State (CSAC) has annulled the Wbo Super Feather Pweathight champion, Emanuel Navarrete, won the eighth technical decision on Charly Suarez from May 10, changing it to a non-consontest today, on June 2, 2025.

Did not explain any concrete governance

The CSAC’s ruling does not give SUAREZ the victory, which some believe it deserves. All he does is leave the struggle as if he had never happened. The promoter of Navarrete, Bob Arum de Top Rank, plans to set up a resale. However, Suárez (18-0, 10 kos) will enter as a challenger instead of a champion. That means less money.

In the struggle of Navarrete-ensuarez on May 10 in the Pechanga Arena de San Diego, California, Navarrete (39-2-1, 32 kos) suffered a deep cut on his left eye on the sixth round, which the referee, Edward Collantes, was ruled by a chief of heads.
