The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Hugset made a “Cold War mentality” when he made a speech on Saturday at the Socke-La Dialogue Conference in Singapore.
“HEGSET intentionally ignored the call for peace and development of the region, and instead advertised the Cold War mentality for confronting the bloc, Snolled China with slander, and falsely called China a” threat “,” the ministry’s press secretary said.
“The comments were filled with provocations and intended for sowing,” the statement reads. “China, which causes them, and firmly opposed them and persistently protested on the United States, no country in the world deserves it to be called hegeman’s power, except for the United States, which is also a major factor that undermines peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region.”

Addressing the dispute over Taiwan, the Chinese Foreign Ministry states that the case is China’s internal affair and that the United States should “never play with fire”.
“No country is able to interfere,” the statement said. “The United States should never imagine that this can use the Taiwan issue as a leverage. The United States should never play with fire on this issue. The statement also accused the United States of placing offensive weapons in the South China Sea and “fusting flames and tensions” in the Asia-Pacific region, which, he said, “turned the region into a powder barrel and makes the countries deeply concerned.”
In South -China SeaThe statement said that “there have never been problems with the freedom of navigation and overcoming there.”
“China has always sought to work with countries interested in processing differences through dialogue and consultations, while maintaining China’s territorial sovereignty and the rights and interests of maritime rights in accordance with laws and rules,” the press secretary said. “This is the main factor that damages peace and stability in the South -Chinese Sea.”
The statement concluded: “China calls on the US to fully respect the efforts of the countries of the region to maintain peace and stability, stop deliberately destroying the peaceful and stable environment that revered the region, and stop firing the conflict and confrontation and escalation of tensions in the region.”

While Hegset has promised to increase the US protection abroad to resist any possible threat from China, the Defense Minister insisted that the allies in the Indo-Pacific region also contribute more to their own protection.
“We ask, and we really insist that our allies and partners do their role in defense,” he said on Saturday. “Sometimes it means awkward and harsh conversations.”
Last month, the United States and China reached an agreement to reduce tariffs by 115% over 90 days to allow participants to come to a more significant agreement on both sides, but Trump said on Friday that he would no longer be “good” with China when it comes to trade and charges of violating the unparalleled agreement with the United States.
