“We can find another way to earn money”

Ruben Amorim believes that Bruno Fernandes wants to stay in Manchester United and rejected the suggestion that the club needs to sell it to finance a staff review.

Fernandes proposes a transfer to Al-Hilal after a 2024-25 campaign in which he was appointed United season player for the fourth time. A transfer to the Saudi club would allow him to play the Club World Cup next month.

The United ended the 15th season at the Premier League, while the defeat against Tottenham in the Europa League final said that the Red Devils were lost in the Champions League football.

It is said that Amorim complies with a significant renewal of the squad following the worst season of the United States Premier League.

However, it has been stated that a potential sale of 80 million pounds of Fernandes may be required to finance the ambitions of Amorim.

Fernandes has been included since Friday, while United rounded a tour after the season in Asia with a 3-1 victory over Hong Kong.

Asked later if Fernandes will leave the club, Amorim replied, “I don’t believe it. I don’t know for sure. No one knows it, but I don’t think so. He has seen us take some actions to change all things. I think it’s all he asks.

“I think he wants to stay. He is saying no to many things, but he chose he wants to win. I think he is really good and he must be in the best league in the world.”

Amorim said that the club could afford the luxury of not selling Fernandes: “Yes, we can find another way to earn money.”

Amorim, however, stopped discarding an exit to Fernandes.

He added, “Of course, I speak to him. I explain things and I only have that feeling, when you talk to someone, you have the feeling if they want to stay.

“Sometimes, after many games this season, he was so frustrated, but he knows what we are doing.

“The feeling I have, every time I talk to him, is that he wants to continue with Manchester United, surely. But you never know.”
