Ex -Fast South -African Fast Dale Steyn Social media was launched with a surprise publication after the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) arrived in the finals for the first time since 2016 with an impressive eight wicket victory over Punjab Kings (PBSK) in the IPL 2025 standings on May 29.
The RCB stepped on Punjab Kings for eight doctors chasing a 102 racing target in just 10 points at the 1 in Chandigarh rating to reserve their ticket in the Grand Final. After RCB arrived in the finals, Dale Steyn could not retain his excitement and had already declared them the winner.
While fans have been waiting for since 2008, the Proteas legend has said that the Royal Challengers Bengaluru have already won their first IPL trophy after defeating the PBKs at qualification 1, even before the summit clash, which is expected on June 3 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Your daily dose of cricket!
After skateboarding and the dominant victory of his team on PBKs, Dale Steyn published, X: “Can you believe?!?!?! RCB has won the IPL.” His post has left the fans stopped and excited ahead of the IPL 2025 final.
Can you believe?!?!?!!
RCB has won the IPL– Dale Steyn (@Dalestyn62) Maand 30, 2025
Above all, Steyn served the Bengaluru -based franchise in two stages, first between 2008 and 2010, and then returned in 2019 and was with them until the 2020 season.
In his IPL career, the old south Bower -African warmed up 97 doctors in 95 games with four teams. He took 32 doctors for RCB in 33 games over the five seasons with the RCB.
In the meantime, the victory of eight bickets by Royal Challengers Bengaluru on the kings of Punjab at the YPL 2025 rating has set a new record. Chasing only 102 runs, RCB finished the game with 60 balls per spare, which is the largest victory in terms of margin while chasing the story of Playoff or IPL tie.
They broke the previous record of 57 remaining balls, by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the final IPL 2024.

Interestingly, the winner of rating 1 increased the trophy by 11 of the 14 seasons since the current format of Playoffs IPL began in 2011.
Even the last seven IPL titles (2018 to 2024) were won by teams that won the qualifier 1, so statistics are definitely in favor of Bengaluru this time.
On the other hand, Rajat Patidar has achieved a special milestone, as he has now become the fifth Indian captain to bring RCB to the IPL final in his debut season as a patron.
The captain of Bengaluru joined the elite company of icons such as Ms. Dhoni and Rohit Sharma. RCB has played three finals before 2009 below Anil Kumble2011, under Daniel Vettori, and in 2016 under Kohli, but he was short, losing his trophy in front of the Deccan, Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad, respectively.
Now, this season, Rajat Patidar took over a team. They had a trembling start, but the smart skateboarding captaincy, the tranquility and daring tactics caused the impressive RCB change, and are now strong contenders to end the title drought on June 3 at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
