After a celebrated journey that covers almost two decades, the batter of the highest order of Gujarat Priyank panchal has announced his retirement from first class cricket. Known for his resilience and unmatched consistency, the 35 -year -old announced the announcement through a heart place of his official management X (before Twitter), ending a race that left an indelible brand in the landscape of Indian domestic cricket.
Panchal, a key figure in the triumph of Gujarat Ranji Trophy and a servant who serves the long duration of the domestic game, retires as the second scorer in the state in the red ball cricket. His last first class appearance took place in the season of the Ranji 2024-25 Trophy, where he scored two centuries, including a memorable 148 in the semifinal against Kerala, which turned out to be his farewell coup.
Their career statistics speak volumes of their contribution:
In addition to its red ball heroics, Panchal appeared in 97 games in and 59 T20 games, demonstrating its versatility among formats.
In his retirement message, Panchal expressed a deep thanks to his colleagues, fans and mentors. Wrote: “It’s an emotional moment. It’s an enriching time. And it’s a time that fills me a lot of gratitude.”
Panchal added a message to his fans, many of whom were hoping to see in India. Said: “Many of you are very happy to want to see me in colors of India. It is with this firm motivation that I continued my trip so far. But the book is not wrapped … The next chapter always promises to be better.”
Over and out. Now in greener pastures. 🙌 pic.twitter.com/5umizvPrql

Another who could never do it, but he deserved. It is a mystery like Priyank never had the opportunity in the time when the Batters of our team promoted sub 45. 🥲 https://t.co/boemfnqsp1

Congratulations Priyank for an enriching race. Godspeed.

Remember that Priyank Panchal used to make Captain in India a lot, and would play all the games that lead to a series of tests. However, in a country where a T20 league is the criterion for the selection of tests, it cannot do much that being a domestic legend. Congratulations on a great career … https://t.co/rzvciqnk2m

Congratulations on a wonderful domestic career, Priyank.
I really wanted to see you by giving the Indian cap at least once and you have arrived very close, you have selected in several test teams for Team India.
However, almost 10 kilometers of first class are not any feat. All the best.

Priyank Panchal, one of the thickest and consistent operators of the domestic cricket, has announced his retirement. It is unfortunate that, despite approaching so close, he never had the opportunity to bring the Indian test lid.
A real domestic legend is inclined.
