King Charles III will make a significant speech in Canada’s Parliament later on Tuesday, which is expected to support his support in the country’s dispute with US President Donald Trump.
King and Queen Camila received a warm welcome when they came to Ottawa, on the first trip to Canada to Canada from the start of driving.
Shortly after the arrival, the king, who was the head of Canada, met with Prime Minister Mark Carney, recently elected public opinion against Trump.
Karni praised the “historical ties” that make up the independent identity of Canada, including the “vitality of our constitutional monarchy”, which, according to him, “the crisis only strengthened.”
Karni invited the king to make a speech when opening the parliament after a recent victory for a general election, in a company where the threats of Canada’s sovereignty from Trump prevail.
For the first time in almost 50 years, the monarch will come with a “speech from the throne”, and the King’s decision to come to the parliament in Ottawa, which is considered as a symbolic demonstration of Canada’s support.
The King’s speech will be written on the Canadian Government Parade, expecting it to be accurate if the diplomatic message that the country is “not sold” to the United States.
Karni said in advance that the performance that would appear in French and English would correspond to the “weight of our time”.
On Monday, the King and Carney held a meeting in the Rida hall, the residence of the Governor of Canada, and both men were sitting in front of Canadian flags.
There were also meetings with the leaders of indigenous groups and the first nations, including Cindy Woodhaus, the National Head of the First Nations Assembly.
Rising in the sunlight, the king took part in the landing ceremony, receiving a passionate reception from visitors who were cheerful and overflowed to shake his hand.
“Canada feels threatening and frightened. It is important that he is here,” said Teresa Mc -Nest of Missysaga, Ontario.
Her sister Diana Saint -Louis from Toronto agreed: “This is critical. It means that the king stood next to the Canadians.”
The Ottawa airport had a warm welcome because there will be about 24 hours on the ground in Canada.
Karni was on the runway to meet royal visitors, with a hospitable party, which included schoolchildren from Anglo and French schools and representatives of the first nations.
The community event was also a control list of Canadian moments, such as a king who dropped the puck to start playing street hockey and get maple syrup banks.
But the main focus of this trip will be a historical speech on Tuesday, and the King’s prospect will give the Canadian government a reflection of calls to become the 51st US state.
It is also a diplomatic balancing act, since the king was part of a conscientious relationship with Trump, including inviting him to the second state visit, as in the role of UK head.
But in Canada, the king will have to speak on behalf of Canada. As another observer said in the Rida hall: “Sovereignty is important and he is the embodiment of it.”
