The workshop of young Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Ayush Mhatre has engraved his name in record books during his season of Premier League Indian (IPL) in single. The batter on his right hand ended with the highest strike rate in a season for the five times IPL champions in the history of the Marquees tournament.

Mhatre joined the CSK squad in the middle of the season, replacing the injured Ruturaj Gaikwad. Prior to this game, he had scored 206 shots in six entries with an impressive average of 34.33 and a strike rate of 187.27, with a higher score than 94.
