Canelo Alvarez has confirmed that his fight against Terence Crawford will be in Las Vegas on September 13. He says they are still “working” the struggle at the allegant stadium.
Alvarez (63-2-2, 39 kos) claims that Las Vegas is the ideal location for his crash against Crawford (41-0, 31 kos) because he is perfect for Mexican independence day. It was said that South of California or Texas were the other two options for the fight against the struggle of Canelo-Crawford, but it seems that Vegas is where he is happening.
The 40 ISH CRAWFORD will be transferred essentially from the heavy weight, three divisions, to challenge 35 -year -old Canelo for its super unquestionable championship. One of the marketing angles in the fight is that it allows Crawford to become an indisputable champion of three divisions.
It is doubtful that someone cares for this not to be the Freak Freak Fans of Stat-Hardcore that focus on the records. Regular fans just want to see a good struggle between high quality and well -known fighters. It would have helped a lot if Crawford had spent in 168 and took David Benavidez to win the fight against Canelo instead of giving it a silver dish by Turki Alralkh.
“We are still working on this, but we make sure everything is the best,” said Canelo Alvarez in the media When asked if the stadium alleging Las Vegas is still considered by his fight against Terence Crawford on September 13.
The staging of Canelo vs Crawford makes sense for Las Vegas because it takes advantage of the base of fan of the Mexican superstar from California, Nevada and Texas. Putting the struggle at the stadium would be ideal for a large crowd to sit on fans who are intrigued by this novelty struggle.
“It’s a struggle that people should enjoy in Las Vegas.” When asked where the struggle will be staged, Canelo said: “Vegas. Yes, of course. There is no better weekend in Las Vegas than on Mexican independence day.”
Putting the struggle for Riyad would hurt interest due to time, and it can be difficult for Canelo’s aging. He seemed to be infernal in his last struggle, struggling to defeat William Scull on May 3 in Saudi Arabia. Alvarez, 35, looked at his age and then some. I do not know that we can blame Canelo’s bad performance on him fighting in a different time area than Riyadh, because he seemed more than showing signs of being on the hill.
If you take the 27 -year -old Canelo version, which he first struggled with Gennadiy Golovkin in 2017 against Scull last May, he would probably have destroyed the Cuban. Unfortunately for Alvarez, he no longer fights like this, and he was fortunate that Scull had no more aggression because he would probably have lost.
“Obviously it was a new experience. Everything was very different for me to fight in the morning than at night. It’s hard. Your body feels outside. You feel disoriented, but it is a part of the experience,” said Canelo, explaining why it didn’t work well, fighting Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, against William Scull in a different time in the north -American.
Observe Canelo’s excuses? He does not want to admit that he has aged and can not even deal with shy and defective fighters like Scull. Please be clear: Canelo did not fight Scull because of the time spindle. He had trouble because he is no longer a spring chicken, the same with the ound to-to-thise 38 years Crawford. Both are relics of a past age
Seemed abysmal in his last fight against Israil Madrimov on August 3, and he seemed mentally forgot later, saying he was “We struck it throughout the fight.” Crawford even rejected the Madrimov power of “Little GGG”, telling the media that it was “nothing I have never seen before.”
It was difficult to see in serious Crawford with a strong and more marked face than any struggle on his 17 fights card. It seemed that a tractor-remedy had hit him, but he was still lowering Madrimov’s power after the fight. However, Turki Alshikh still wanted to use Crawford for Canelo’s struggle instead of young talents like David Benavidez. I would never have given Crawford another thought after the struggle of Madrimov if it had been me.
“I’m glad I got one of my dreams to fight outside the United States or Mexico. Very good. I’m really happy to work with him,” Canelo said about his thoughts about working with Turki Alralikh.
I can imagine Canelo’s happiness working with Turki. Is rumored to achieve 150 million dollars For circus struggle at the fantasy level against Crawford. He would also be happy, fighting a heavy weight of 40 years instead of having to win the mass fighting David Benavidez.
