The sudden withdrawal of Kohli from the test fans of the test left the fans, his teammates and even his own franchise, Royal Challenger Bengaluru (RCB), in a state of shock. Now, Dinesh Karthik, Mentor and Batallet coach of RCB, has revealed that Virat Kohli is now the happiest he has ever been.
The Royal Challenger Bengaluru Camp, like the rest of the world, was blinded when Kohli dropped the retirement bulb on May 12.
Reports suggest that Kohli had informed the BCCI about his plan to retire -from the trial cricket weeks before his public announcement, but the maximum council officials tried to convince him so that at least the tour of England was last time.

However, Kohli remained firm in his decision. With the series of five -game testing in England around the corner, India will now begin a new age without the two iconic beatings, Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
The two legends said goodbye to try the cricket earlier this month, leaving the national selectors to change their plans for the tour of England, from June 20.
In the meantime, Dinesh Karthik revealed that Kohli’s retirement from the test cricket surprised everyone, including those inside the RCB camp. He said Kohli is now the happiest he has been, enjoying the game and appreciating time with his family.
Dinesh Karthik said at the press conference: “It was a clash for the outside world, so we were just watching what was turned. It is now the happiest: he enjoys sports and really wants to spend more time with his family.”
Karthik added: “It’s a personal decision and we respect it. As everyone else, they took us to the eye, that’s happening.” But the fact is that it is great to see him happy and in the point where we want him to play.

In the meantime, Kohli has reached another milestone, as he became the first player to reach 800 four for a single team on Cricket T20. Reached this milestone during the recent IPL 2025 of Royal Challengers Bengaluru against Sunrisers Hyderabad
During the loss of 42 RCB rolls to SRH in Lucknow, the right side marked 43 runs, including seven limits that helped him overcome the 800-LIMIT mark. This record shows Kohli’s amazing coherence in the IPL, where he has been a key player for the RCB since the start of the league in 2008.
Of the 800 fours, 756 were beaten in IPL and 44 games arrived at the T20 Champions League, playing the same team: the challenges of Roughers Bengaluru. This makes Kohli the only cricketter to reach such a large milestone with a franchise in the shortest format of the game.
