Shaquille O’Neal explains why he suddenly answered a nature call on live television last month.
The former ball player went in viral in April after he got out of his seat quietly and moved off TNT’s set Inside the NBA Mid-broadcast to go to the bathroom, telling his surprised cohosts, “Go ahead, keep talking.” Shaq Cohost’s sudden departure prompted Kenny Smith To joke, “that’s the olive oil you’ve been drinking.”
On Thursday, May 22, Shaq, 53, was questioned for the viral moment during appearance The Tonight Show stars Jimmy FallonAlthough not coming with all the details to start.
“I drank a lot of water that day,” the legendary center say at first. “I know I got the number two run, but it was actually number one.”

A few seconds later, Shaq admitted lying to maintain Jimmy Fallon.
“I just made a mistake. I lied to you on national television,” admitted Shaq. “It wasn’t a number one run, it was a number two run. I had to go so bad!”
As for the olive oil? “I drink olive oil because I want to be sexy,” explained Shaq. “That’s what he said on Instagram. (He said) if you drink olive oil for 14 days, he clears things out, gets you a flat stomach. So I was trying it.”
Shaq bathroom sudden break caused last month to turn among his studing gohosts. “He has been drinking olive oil to clean his gut… he cleans his gut properly,” said Smith with laughter after Shaq leaves.
