Tyler Mom Teen and Catelynn promise not to mention Carly again

On the episode of Thursday, May 22, from Teen Mother: Next ChapterDr. Drew pinsky Had a virtual meeting with the couple to commemorate a private conversation he had with Carly’s adoptive parents, Brand and Teresa Davis.

“I can tell you what I was told about Carly,” he shared at the end of the MTV reality show season. “Brandon said she thrives and has friends and she is athletic and musical and she does all these amazing things.”

Catelynn tried to hold backs as she wondered why Dr. Drew shares the update and not Carly’s adoptive parents.

“Well thank you for keeping that beautiful girl away from me,” he said as emotionally becoming apparent.

Dr. Drew, “I don’t think that’s the intention. I understand that’s how it feels. I know you. I know how difficult this is. I get it.”

In 2009, Tyler and Catelynn – who also shared Nova, 10, Vaeda, 6, and Rya, 3, – installed their new daughter -born Carly, who is now 16, to adopt. What started as an open adoption over time with Brandon and Teresa changing personal visits between Carly and her biological parents.

“In terms of being unobstructed and a visit, I don’t see that not happening, frankly,” Dr. Drew. “You had to go through the baby steps. But you are encouraged to send presents on Christmas, birthdays and when gifts are entirely appropriate.”

Although Tyler expressed his belief that it was “strange” to be getting this information from someone other than Brandon and Teresa, Dr. Drew no situation is perfect.

“What Teresa was saying is that she really wants what you want and wants to maintain a relationship, but she feels like it needs to be replaced and for everyone to calm down and leave all the negativity (settling),” he said. “He (Carly) sings in the church. She’s a pretty skilled singer and they recorded a song of her. I would love to listen with you because she is so moving. She feels that Carly is sending a message from, ‘I’m good.’ Do you want to hear it?

Noting her mental health, Catelynn said she wanted to listen privately. According to MTV, when he asked for the link to hear the performance, Brandon and Teresa denied the application.

Weekly US have reached out to Brandon and Teresa for comments.

In a joint statement on social media, Carly and Tyler promised not to talk about Carly, Brandon and Teresa moving forward in public.

“Parents of birth are always at the mercy of the adopters (which is understandable as we are the ones who surrendered our baby to them) but that still makes it less hard or painful,” wrote Tyler and Catelynn through Instagram on Thursday. “As I said before, I wouldn’t talk about our biological daughter or her parents anymore and that’s why we are actually a relief that this chapter is broadcast, so that way we can all move forward at last.”

Catelynn and Tyler apologized if the past commented on Teen’s mother or other platforms had a negative effect.

“He is extremely angry if anything we have said about our truth as parents of birth have hurt you or negatively affected your life. That was not our intention,” the pair said in a letter to Brandon and Teresa. “We are these adults and our job is to put aside everything for the best interests of Carly. Seeking open, honest and transparent communication. So we hope to move forward, you will be involved in that requirement.”
