In its current form Tennessee Titans have the second pick in the NFL draft, making them the best for a potential franchise quarterback.
However, one of the greatest players to wearing a titans jersey believes they already have franchise quarterback Will Lewis and wants the team to go a different route.
Chris Johnson, one of nine players to rush for 2,000 yards in a single season, wants the team to draft Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter.

“I want Hunter. I want Travis. Will Lewis, we just got him. I think Will is going to be a good quarterback,” Johnson told TMZ Sports. “Sometimes it takes time. You look at some of these quarterbacks like Jordan Love and some of these guys. They’ve had time to sit down and learn. Like, years to sit down and learn. So I feel like he is going to come into his own.
“I just don’t feel like you’re doing what we’ve done in years past where we have Levis and then two guys on the cheap. I think we’ll go in and see what Will Lewis can do for us. Bring on Travis. … I think we’d be an absolute fool if we missed out on Travis at No. 2.”

Johnson said he would like to see Hunter focus on playing corner while also playing receiver in certain packages. In the 2024 season, Hunter won both the best receiver and best defensive player awards.
Hunter said he’d like to play both ways, but many experts predict he’ll be more comfortable playing defensive end.
It’s been a struggle for Levis in his two NFL seasons. He completed just 61.2% of his passes for 20 touchdowns and 16 interceptions in 20 games. At No. 2, they could select quarterback Hunter, Shader Sandersor Cam Ward.

Hunter just won the Heisman Trophy in the closest vote since 2009, beating out Ashton Gianta. Both Hunter and Sanders plan to be elected in April.
