Two Israeli Embassy staff were shot dead outside the Jewish Museum in the center of Washington, who a person who states that after the attack shouted “free, free Palestine”.
The victims, the young couple, were shot dead, leaving the event at the Metropolitan Museum, the DC police said, adding that the incident looks aimed at.
The shooting took place at 21:05 local time (1:05 GMT) in the area with numerous tourist sites, museums and state buildings, including the FBI office in Washington.
After the suspect detained by the authorities opened the fire, he entered the museum and stopped security, said the head of the capital police.
The suspect, 30 -year -old Chicago Elias Rodriguez, was noticed as he walked around the museum before opening a fire group of four -killing the couples, said Smith chief at a press conference.

The Israeli Ambassador called the United Nations an incident “a dissolved act of anti -Semitic terrorism.”
“Diplomats and the Jewish community cross the red line,” Ambassador Danny Danan wrote on X. “We are convinced that the US authorities will take strong measures against those responsible for this crime.”
The incident caused a serious police response and closed several major streets in the city.
The Israeli Embassy Press Socialist Tal Naim Cohen confirmed that two employees were shot “at close distance” while attending the event at the museum.
The embassy was “full of faith” that the authorities defend representatives of Israel and Jewish communities throughout the United States, “he said.
