Delhi Capitals has to win the continued game at any price to keep it alive in the competition. The game is a quarter of a virtual end for them. While a victory will keep them alive, a defeat will end their campaign in the league phase.
On the other hand, Mumbai Indians will become the fourth team to qualify for the playoffs this season if they won Delhi. In case the result goes from Delhi, the final place of the playoffs will be decided after the last games of Mumbai League. Both teams will face Kings Punjab in their last league game.
