Weekly US confirmed in April 2025 that Park had filed a petition in California for their daughter’s basic physical custody. He asked for the legal custody jointly and asked for Malone to have a visit to a child. Park also asked Malone to be responsible for attorney fees.
After news of Park’s petition went public, several outlets stated that Malone actually filed his own custody petition In Utah, days before his ex.
Malone claimed in Docs May 2025, who filed to dismiss Park’s custody petition, that he and Park lived together in Utah before their relationship ended, where they raised their daughter. He initially agreed to share their daughter’s custody, moving their daughter between La – where Park has since relocated – and Utah every two weeks.
The rapper claimed he later learned that Park was planning to file his petition in custody and change their daughter’s main residence to California – which is why he first filed his own custody petition.
Malone claims that Park’s custody petition is “intentionally misleading” the situation since her daughter lived in Utah her whole life. He further claimed that Park had “rushed to register DDP in all kinds of activity she can” in California, trying to show that their daughter lives there.
“I do not consent to Jamie’s back door attempt to change DDP residence from Utah to California,” Filing May 2025 reads, back Weather. “I ask California’s court to reprimand Jamie for her lack of honesty, games games while seeking a forum shop, and her deliberate action to try to mislead the court for a DDP home.”
Neither Malone nor Park have addressed the ongoing dispute in custody in public.
