Iran’s supreme leader doubted that nuclear negotiations with the US would lead to a new agreement, saying it had imposed “excessive and flamboyant” requirements for uranium enrichment.
“We don’t think it will lead to any results. We don’t know what will happen,” Ayatalay Homena said.
Last week, US President Donald Trump said Iran “agreed with the terms of the transaction after four rounds of negotiations mediated by Oman on April 12.
But ahead of the next round, scheduled for this weekend, Iran’s chief negotiator dismissed his colleague in the US that he will need to stop the production of enriched uranium, which could be used to prepare the reactor fuel, but also nuclear weapons.
Trump, who pulled the US from the 2015 nuclear transaction between Iran and the world’s powers during his first term, warned Iran that we may face us and Israeli military action unless the talks are successful.
Iran insists that its nuclear activity is completely peaceful and it will never strive for the development and acquisition of nuclear weapons.
However, it violated the restrictions imposed by the available nuclear transaction in paying off US sanctions, restored seven years ago, and accumulated a highly enriched uranium to make several bombs.
Homena addressed the latest events in Iran’s negotiations with the US at the ceremony, honoring the late President Ebogim Raisi, who died as a result of the helicopter crash a year ago.
He praised Raisy, a colleague -staggering clergyman for refusing direct negotiations with the US while being in office.
“He clearly said” not “without ambiguity”, “said Hamani, adding that Raisy did not allow the enemies” to drag Iran to the talks through threats or tricks. “
Khamenei said that the nuclear talks in the predecessor of Raisi, a moderate clergyman Hassan Ruhani, could not achieve the results, and that he did not think that his successor to Masud Pescian, who is a successor, Masud Pescin.
The supreme leader also criticized the Trump administration’s approach, saying: “The American side in these indirect negotiations should avoid meaningless comments.”
“Saying that they will not allow Iran to enrich a big mistake. No one expects their permission.”
In an interview on Sunday, in an interview with ABC News in an interview with ABC News Steve Steve Witcoof said: “We can’t even allow 1% of the enrichment capacity. We have provided an offer to the Iranians to believe that part of it is being considered without respecting them.”
He added: “We want to come to the decision here. And we think it can.”
“But it all starts with our point of view from a transaction that does not include enrichment. We can’t have it. Because enrichment allows you to arm your weapons and we will not allow the bomb to get here.”
Iran’s Foreign Minister Arak Arakchy replied to Witco’s warning rapidly: “Unrealistic expectations stop negotiations, enrichment in Iran is not what can be stopped.”
“I think he is completely at a distance from the reality of the negotiations,” he added.
The 2015 transaction, which Iran reached with the Presidential Administration Barack Obama, as well as in the UK, France, China, Russia and Germany, saw that it limits its nuclear activity and allowed to check the International Nuclear Energy Agency (IAEA) in return for sanction.
Iran was allowed only to enrich Uranus to 3.67% of cleanliness, which could be used to produce fuel for commercial nuclear power plants.
In February, the International Atomic Energy Agency warned that Iran gained stocks of nearly 275 kg (606 pounds) in uranium, enriched to 60% of the cleanliness within the weapons level. This would theoretically be enough if you enrich up to 90%, for six nuclear bombs.
