Vietnamese authorities arrested beauty queen and influence on social media for fraud with consumers after it promoted fiber supplements.
Nguyen Thuc thuy tien was heavily selling rubber that was rich on their social media fibers.
But after the products were exposed, the public reaction found that it was untrue.
Former winner of the Miss Grand International Beauty Contest, Ms. Nguyen-Acquest Person in Vietnam and previously received awards from the government.
Ms Nguyen promoted Carey Supergreens Gummies along with influences on social media, Fam Quang Lin and Hang Du Muc.
Investigators said this product was the result of a joint venture between Ms Nguyen and a company created by two other influential.
The influences claimed that each of their gum contained fibers, an equivalent plate with vegetables.
The public spokesman sent a product for testing in a laboratory showing that each sticky contained only 16 mg of fibers, far from 200 mg, as claimed.
The authorities then launched an investigation that showed that non -standard ingredients were used in the production of low fiber.
The packaging of the product also did not show the fiber content, and did not state that the product contained a high level of sorbitol used in laxatives.
Three influential participants were fined in March and apologized to the public.
Next month, Vietnam’s authorities arrested Mr. Fama and Khan -Thu -Muka, as well as officials from his company and manufacturer of the sticky.
They were accused of producing counterfeit goods and fraud.
On Monday, the authorities announced the arrest of Mrs. Nguyen allegedly for the clients’ deception.
More than 100,000 gum boxes were reportedly sold before the sales were stopped with the scandal.
After winning Bangkok Beauty Pageant in 2021, Ms Nguyen became a celebrity, which was required by many Vietnamese brands, and appeared in several reality series.
She also received certificates on merit from the Prime Minister and the ruling Communist Party of Vietnam.
